Luther J. Strange, Jr. Commander, USN B. 1925 - D. 2000
Luther was my cousin, only son of Luke and Thelma Strange of Birmingham,
Alabama. He was in every sense a gentle man. He stood six feet four inches tall.
Possessed of a fine and gentle sense of humor, he had a deep resonant voice
touched with a bit of whimsical irony. We all loved him very much.
